This project consists of the replacement of culverts on Ripy Road approximately 1.5 miles north of Jackson Road and all extra work which contract is hereby referred to and made part hereof as fully and to the same extent as if copied at length herein. Question Deadline 07/10/2024 at 2:00 PM CT Online Portal Intent to Bid Due Date: Jul 18th 2024, 2:00 PM CDT Bidders must submit, with their Bid, a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount bid, payable without recourse to DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, as guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within then (10) days after award of contract to their company. The original Bid Bond must be received in the office of the Director of Purchasing for Denton County, located at 1 Courthouse Drive, Suite 2300, Denton, TX 76208, no later than the bid due date in order for the submission to be considered responsive. The successful Bidder must furnish Maintenance, Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price from an approved Surety Company. The successful Bidder must also be able to show evidence that it is authorized to do business in the State of Texas prior to executing the contract. The undersigned Bidder hereby declares that he has visited the site(s) of work and has carefully examined the Contract Documents pertaining to the work covered by this bid. The Bidder further agrees to execute and file with the County a contract and bonds on the forms provided within ten (10) days after receipt of written notification of award of the contract and to begin the work to be performed under the contract within ten (10) days after receipt of written authorization to begin the work (Work Order), and to complete one hundred percent (100%) of the work within 60 standard calendar days as described under TxDOT 2014 standard specification manual under item 8 after the effective starting date for the Project as specified in the "Work Order". The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive formalities. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating bid prices in the bid, the County reserves the right to consider and adopt the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject any or all bids. Bid unit price on quantity specified, extend, and show total. In case of errors in extension, UNIT prices shall govern. Unreasonable or unbalanced unit prices will be considered sufficient cause for rejection of any bid or bids. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date on which bids are opened.
