Demolition, site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.
** As of August 29, 2024 bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will be rebid in October.** The project site is located at Mike Rylko Community Park, 951 McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. project consists of demolition, concrete, masonry, steel, wood structure, carpentry, roofing, doors and frames, flooring, ceilings, painting, site furnishings, prefabricated engineered structures, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, earthwork, exterior improvements, utilities, and landscaping. This project is partially funded through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. All bidders shall submit a rsum of similar projects performed, enumerated, as to location, type of work, approximate completion date, and project engineering firms. Additionally, all bidders should submit a list of equipment owned by, or available to them, for the efficient pursuance of the project. Question Deadline 07/19/2024 at 12:00 PM CT Requests for clarifications must be submitted by e-mail to Maria Blood, mblood@uplanddesign.com prior to that date and time. Any replies to requests that are received will be issued in writing as an addendum to all bidders. A second representative from the Park District along with a representative from Upland Design will be present as witness. The Zoom Meeting will be recorded. A bid tabulation will be created, emailed out to all bidders, and posted on the Park District website for public viewing. The Park District will reach out to the apparent low bidder(s) after the Zoom Meeting in order to set up a time for a scope review. The Board of Commissioners of the Buffalo Grove Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make an award that is in the best interest of the Park District. Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to (10%) ten percent of the total bid amount plus any alternates shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Buffalo Grove Park District. The cost of the insurance will be included in each bidder's proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond to the owner equal to (100%) one hundred percent of the proposal amount. The cost of the performance and payment bond will be included in each bidder's proposal. The Buffalo Grove Park District encourages Minority-Owned and Women-Owned businesses to submit bids and that any successful contract bidder use Minority-Owned and Women-Owned businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, services, and construction.
