The work is generally described as: NEW WATER LINE ALONG HIGHWAY 16-KNOWN AS MCWI PROJECT NO. 564-CW-5.5 The principal items of work involve construction of approximately 8,000 linear feet of 12-inch C900 water line, approximately 300 linear feet of 12-inch (CL-9) HDPE Waterline directionally bored at creek crossings, valves and other appurtenances and incidental work as required along Highway 16 in Kemper County, MS. Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid is required. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of thirty (30) days. award, if made, Il be made to the lowest and best qualified bidder on the basis of unit bid prices in the contract documents. Actual work quantities performed shall be based on availability of funds. The work to be done is generally as shown in the plans and technical specifications.
