For the construction of Southwest Independent School District Southwest Elementary Renovation Project. PROJECT/WORK IDENTIFICATION A. General: Name of Project is SWISD Elementary School Renovation Project for the Southwest Independent School District as shown on Drawings and Specifications (Project Manual) by the Architect, Garza/Bomberger and Associates. GBA Project No. is 23-130. B. Drawings and Specifications (Project Manual) indicate Work of the Contract, and related provisions of Project: 1. Existing site conditions. 2. Requirements for Completion of Work of Contract. C. Abbreviated Written Summary: Briefly, and without effect upon Contract Documents, Work of Contract can by summarized as follows: 1. Redesign of the Main Entrance, Library, and Cafeteria. 2. Upgrade finishes throughout the school including painting, flooring, ceilings, toilet partitions and millwork. 3. Upgrade mechanical, electrical, plumbing, plumbing fixtures fire, and P. A. systems. 4. Seal or resurface the main parking lot. D. Southwest Independent School District will pay for all Construction Materials Testing. E. Secure and pay for all permits, fees, licenses required and submit drawings to the local City, County and State Authorities for the proper execution and completion of the Work. F. Give required notices. G. Comply with codes, ordinances, rules, orders and other legal requirements of public authorities, which bear on performance of the Work. H. Enforce strict discipline and good order among employees. Do not employ on the Work persons who are unfit or unskilled in assigned task. Offerors shall submit any questions regarding the projects including, but not limited to, the information contained in the project manual, in writing, to the project architect for clarification, no later than 5:00 pm local, Monday, July 17, 2024. Offerors should allow a minimum of two (2) days for a reply.
