Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clinton, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
As of November 20, 2024 this project has been awarded to Slusarski Excavating and Paving Inc. in the amount of $430,770.40 **As of August 8, 2024 bids for this project has been rejected. Project will rebid but no definite date yet. The park is open daily to the public and all areas of the park can be easily viewed by interested bidders during normal daylight hours. The proposed project includes the construction of a new pickleball court as well as the construction of a new shade structure. The pickleball courts will be constructed using post-tensioned concrete slabs; however, limited information about the shade structure was provided to us. We understand the proposed site improvements will be constructed toward the southern end of Tate Park. The pickleball courts will be constructed on the southeast end of the site and the shade structure will be constructed to the west of the pickleball courts. New sidewalks will connect the pickleball court area to new handicap parking areas to the west. The Village of Clinton, Michigan, will be accepting bids for, but not limited to, the construction of four post-stressed concrete pickleball courts, concrete walkways, concrete ADA parking spaces, site furnishings, small pavilion and site restoration. Tate Park is located at 475 Michigan Ave., Clinton, MI 49236. Funding for the project is provided by ARPA Funds and Village of Clinton. Please note that the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended (40 U.S.C. 3141-3148) and Contract Work Hours and safety Standards Act (40 USC 3701-3798 will be required. In accordance with the statue, contractors must be required to pay wages to laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than the prevailing wager specified in a wage determination made by the US Secretary of Labor. The contractor and all subcontractors must comply with all requirements of 1976 PA 453 (Elliott 14 IC1912 (Rev. 10/18/2021) Larsen Civil Rights Act), the 1976 PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act), and Executive Directive 201909, as amended. In accordance with these laws, all contracts the grantee enters into must contain a covenant by the contractor and any subcontractors not to discriminate against an employee or applicant for employment with respect to hire, tenure, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, or a matter directly or indirectly related to employment, because of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, marital status, partisan considerations, or a disability or genetic information that is unrelated to the individual's ability to perform the duties of a particular job or position.
