As Of September this is waiting for some state input before they name the awarded bidder Remove and replace approximately 16,000 SF of concrete sidewalk, ramps and associated railing, along with curb and gutter, HMA and concrete patches, exterior lighting improvements, signage, bicycle racks, benches, planters and gazebo improvements. All work to be performed on Chestnut Street (IL 251) between 2nd South Street and 1st North Street and on 1st South Street between Walnut Street and Chestnut Street within the City of Wenona. Funding is provided in part by an Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, Rebuild Illinois Downtowns & Main Streets Grant. Compliance with the Illinois Works Jobs Program Act, the grantee will be required to comply with the Illinois Works Apprenticeship Initiative and all applicable administrative rules. Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act and the Business Enterprise Program for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities Act ("BEP"). Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The Contract will be subject to the Illinois Steel Products Procurement Act. The successful Bidder shall provide at least 40% of all labor required for the completion of this project. The Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid and be payable to the order of the City of Wenona. Bids may be held by the City of Wenona for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
