The City of Davenport, Iowa is accepting bids from qualified vendors for the W. 3rd Street & 4th Street Traffic Signal Upgrades (Telegraph Road to Fillmore Street). This project is located along W 3rd Street and W 4th Street, from Telegraph Road to Fillmore Street. There is a separate contract for HMA resurfacing with includes some complete pavement reconstruction. In these areas of reconstruction, traffic signal conduit will be installed during the reconstruction for future use so that the streets will not need to be disturbed for future traffic signal work. Also, old, obsolete traffic signal controllers and cabinets will be replaced at 6 intersections to improve traffic signal coordination in the downtown area. Pursuant to Iowa Code sections 422.42 (15) & (16), the awarded contractor will be issued a tax exemption certificate to purchase construction materials (within the state of Iowa) that will be incorporated into real property for this project tax free. E. For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. G. Working Days - There are no Working Days for this contract. The Contractor shall complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment for the bid by December 31, 2026, unless modified by Change Order. H.
