ESTIMATED COST: A/E opinion of probable construction cost is $6,000,000.00 The project consists of constructing a new Cafeteria Building A and new Classroom Building B on the Rosepine Elementary School campus. The project is anticipated to be one lump sum, Base Bid only, No Alternates. Demolition: Demolition of existing miscellaneous structures, paving, site features and utilities as scheduled. Sitework: consists of clearing, grubbing, grading, erosion control, concrete drives, parking and walks, surface and subsurface drainage, grassing, irrigation, fencing, landscaping and utility systems. Construction of New Buildings: Cafeteria Building A will be constructed on the southwest side of the campus. Generally, construction is concrete slab-on-grade, concrete grade beams with spread footings, custom steel frame with sloping metal roof, exterior brick veneer and metal wall panel cladding, painted CMU partitions, lay-in acoustical ceilings, resilient, quarry and ceramic floors, rooftop AC/heating, natural gas, electrical power, lighting & signal. Will include kitchen, cooler/freezer and support spaces furnished with specified equipment. Sprinklered. Classroom Building B will be constructed on the east side of the campus: Single story, masonry bearing wall and wood roof truss structure, slab-on-grade, shingle roof, painted walls, suspended and hard ceilings, built-in classroom equipment. Not sprinklered. This project is to be completed in 450days; liquidated damages will be assessed at $500 per calendar day. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and all alternates and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond written by a company licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana.
