Site work for a civil project in S Zanesville, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
UNIT PRICE BID for construction of approximately 17,470 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE sewage force main installed conventional open-trench installation methods, 5,185 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE pipe installed by horizontal directional drilling, combination air release assemblies, tie-into the Weber Lift Station and existing City of Zanesville gravity interceptor sewer, and other appurtenances necessary to complete the WEBER FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT as described in the Specifications and on the CONSTRUCTION Drawings. The cost estimate for this contract is $4,200,000.00. Each Bidder must submit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Ifrequested, each bidder must submit evidence ofits experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All Contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. The Contractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin or sex in the performance of this contract. The Contractor shall carry out applicable requirements of40 CFR Part 33 in the award and administration of contracts awarded under EPA financial assistance agreements. Failure by the Contractor to cany out these requirements is a material breech of this contract which may result in the termination of this contract or other legally available remedies This procurement is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small business in rural areas (SBRAs). Domestic iron and steel use requirements as specified in P.L. 113-76, "Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014" apply to this project. See additional information titled United States Environmental Protection Agency Memorandum found under Document 00820 (Additional Articles) in the Contract Documents. Contracts shall meet Build America Buy America requirements. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All work done under this contract shall be subject to all Federal Davis Bacon Wage rates and rules. Document notes: A digital copy of plans, specifications and proposal forms can be obtained from the Engineer, Vaughn, Coast & Vaughn, Inc., 154 South Marietta Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950 (740) 695-7256, upon payment ofa deposit of $25 (non-refundable). The Muskingum County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or combination of bids which is deemed most favorable to the County at the time and under the conditions stipulated. The Commissioners further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the lowest and best bid, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid. No single factor will control the Board's decision to award, and the Board reserves the right to exercise its full discretion The current negotiated goalsfor construction related activities are 1.3% of all contracts to MBEs and 1.0% of all contractsto WBEs.
