The Project includes the following Work: Construction of a pump station, 3500 lf of gravity sewer, 5300 lf of 6" force main and related appurtenances just south of Fort Chiswell, Virginia. Owner will announce the total construction budget after receipt of all bids and prior to opening bids. The Project has an expected duration of 210 days. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9-5, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The Contractor and any subcontractors shall not, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, or sex, exclude from participation in, deny the benefits of, or subject to discrimination, any person under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. REHABILITATION ACT OF 1973; PL 93-112, AND AGE DISCRIMINATION ACT OF 1975: The Contractor and any subcontractors shall not on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, exclude from participation in, deny the benefits of, or subject to discrimination any person under any program or activity funded in whole or in part with Federal funds. Any prohibition against discrimination on the basis of age under the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, or with respect to an otherwise qualified handicapped individual as provided in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 shall also apply to any such program or activity. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by paying a deposit of $200 for each set. Bidders and Non-Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a half refund.
