Site work for a water / sewer project in New Waterford, Nova Scotia. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Capital Infrastructure Renewal Program - This project is in the East Division of CBRM and involves the section of shoreline between King Street and Atlantic Avenue in New Waterford, Nova Scotia. 1) New Waterford Shoreline (King Street to Atlantic Avenue) The first component of this project involves the relocation of approximately 300m of existing 300mm diameter cross-country sanitary sewer collector main. The existing sewer parallels the shoreline from King Street to Atlantic Avenue and the intent is to move this section of sewer main inland to prevent further erosion damage. 2) The second component of this project involves amourstone revetment along the shoreline between Civic address 3321 Atlantic Avenue and the East side of King Street. All sanitary sewer main is to be designed and constructed in accordance with municipal standards. TIMELINE: Planning and design work to commence shortly. Construction is scheduled for fall 2024; tendering process will get underway by early September. *Budget is unreleased.
