Rock Salt Bid - Annual Requirement Rock Salt Bid - Annual Requirement of Sodium Chloride (Rock Salt) for Ice and Snow Control for the City of Huntington, West Virginia. Estimated quantity for this bid is up to 1200 tons. All proposals shall be valid for a period of sixty (60) days from bid opening date. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and is not necessarily bound to accept the lowest bid if that bid is contrary to the best interest of the City. In making an award, intangible facts such as vendor's past performance, service, integrity, facilities, equipment and reputation may be considered. The City, subject to State Law reserves the right to cancel any resulting contract if the commodities and/or service supplied are not in conformity with the bid specifications.
