Pickleball Courts Tournament Facility Installation of Courts, Pavers, Landscaping, Surrounding Improvements, Lighting and Electrical Components Pleasant View City is seeking contractor proposals for the design and construction of nine (9) new post-tension concrete pickleball courts. The location of the courts is 947 West Pleasant View Drive, adjacent to four existing courts. The site area will be fully excavated and graded in preparation for completion of the court installation and other necessary improvements. A retention wall and stairway are also required elements to complete this project. A separate bidding process has been awarded to address excavation, grading and stabilization improvements. The city is desirous for construction to commence and be completed during Summer/Fall 2024. The funding for this project comes from diverse sources including Pleasant View City, Weber County Recreation, Arts, Museums and Parks (RAMP) grant funding and the generous donations of pickleball enthusiasts in Pleasant View and surrounding communities. The completion of this project also includes several in-kind contributions that will be coordinated, in partnership with the awarded Contractor, in accordance with engineered plans. At the direction of City Staff and upon mutual agreement, the Contractor will be requested to coordinate aspects of the in-kind components completed. The City expects that the selected contractor will have multiple years of experience successfully installing pickleball courts or other similar post-tension concrete large projects. Proposals are to include the ability and cost breakdown to provide each requested service as well as clarification for instances when the contractor is unable, unwilling or recommends against performing services included. Pleasant View reserves the right to reject all proposals and to waive any formality in the proposals received, to accept or reject any or all of the items in the proposal, and award the contract subject to this RFP, in whole or in part, if it is deemed in the City's best interest. The City reserves the right to negotiate any and all elements of the proposals if any such action is deemed in the best interest of the City. This RFP has been prepared in accordance with Pleasant View City Ordinances 2-33- 090. Proposals must remain valid for a minimum of ninety (90) days from the due date for the receipt of proposals.
