Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Sharon Center, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Sharon Township Board of Trustees proposes to provide for the renovation of the existing Township circle. This will also include site development of the northwest quadrant of the township's property surrounding the circle. This will be developed as vehicular circulation and parking with pedestrian walkways and a relocated and new Veterans Monument and future Memorial. At this time the Trustees are accepting proposals for the General Trades, Electrical and Plumbing scope of work as indicated by the specifications and documents. The Township will be entering into a lump sum, prime contract with the general contractor encompassing all work as indicated. Project requirements will be reviewed, followed by a tour of the areas affected by this project. The Sharon Township Board of Trustees reserve the right to waive any informalities and to reject any and all bids. A Bid Guarantee in the form of either; a) A bond in accordance with R.C. 153.54(B), for the full amount of the bid as set forth in the bid documents, or b) A Bid Bond Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Letter of Credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code. A Bid Bond, Letter of Credit shall be revocable only at the option of the Township. The amount of the Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Letter of Credit shall equal to 10% of the grand total bid. 2. A Statement of Bidder Resources and Experience, 3. A Non-Collusion Affidavit, 4. Personal Property Tax Verification Affidavit, 5. Independent Contractor Indemnification Clause, 6. A State of Ohio, Equal Opportunity Division, Certificate of Compliance Bidders must comply with Prevailing Wage Rates on public improvements in Medina County, Ohio as determined by the Davis Bacon Act. The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. No Bidder may withdraw the bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of bid opening, except as provided in Section 9.31 or Division (G) of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. If it is not accepted within such period, such bid may be withdrawn without prejudice. The date of commencement shall be contained in the Notice to Proceed. Project duration and substantial completion must be indicated as a part of the Bidders Bid Statement and Summation. The Project shall be completed no later than 270 days after the Notice of Commencement, substantial completion date is May 1st 2025 Bidders must carefully examine the Bid Documents and perform a reasonable site investigation before submitting a Bid. Submission of a Bid is an affirmative statement that the Bidder has investigated the Project site and is satisfied as to the character, quality, quantities, and conditions to be encountered in performing the Work. A reasonable site investigation includes investigating the Project site and all other locations related to the performance of the Work. Should the project not be completed within 270 days after the Notice of Commencement the contractor shall pay liquidated damages in the amount of $750.00 per calendar day to the Sharon Township Board of Trustees as outlined in AIA 104-2017 Additions, per calendar day, for each day of delay, to recover damages for delay not approved by the Township. If a ten percent (10%) bid guarantee is used, the successful bidder will be required to submit a one-hundred percent (100%) performance bond in a form similar to that as set forth in Exhibit A within ten (10) days of written notice of acceptance of his bid. If for any reason, other than as authorized by Section 9.31 of the Ohio Revised Code or Division (G) of Section 153.54, the bidder to whom the contract shall have been awarded shall refuse or neglect within ten (10) days after due notice that the contract has been awarded to them to execute the same and furnish security in the amount required, the bidder, or its surety, shall be liable to the Sharon Township Board of Trustees for the difference between the previously accepted bid, and that of the next lowest bidder, or a penal sum not to exceed ten percent (10%) of the grand total bid, whichever is less. If the Sharon Township Board of Trustees rebids the project, a sum not to exceed ten percent (10%) of the grand total bid, or the costs in connection with the resubmission of, printing new contract documents, required advertising and printing, and mailing notices to prospective bidders, whichever is less. MAINTENANCE BOND Unless otherwise called for in the specifications the Contractor shall guarantee all materials and work performed for a period of two (2) years from the date of completion. The Contractor shall warranty and guarantee that all project items are free from defects due to faulty materials or workmanship and the Contractor shall promptly make such corrections as may be necessary by reason of such defects including the repairs of any damage to other parts of the project resulting from such defects. The Sharon Township Board of Trustees will give notice of observed defects with reasonable promptness. In the event that the Contractor should fail to make such repairs, adjustments, or other work that may be necessary by such defects, the Sharon Township Trustees may do so and charge the Contractor the costs thereby incurred. A Maintenance Bond shall remain in full force and effect through the guarantee period. Said Bond shall be supplied at completion of the project and after passage of the final inspection for a two (2) year period in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the construction cost, specifying The Sharon Township Board of Trustees as the protected parties. MINIMUM WAGES Wages to be paid to all labor employees on this contract shall be in accordance with prevailing wages on public improvements in Medina County as determined by the Davis Bacon Act Bidders are cautioned to assure the completeness of said wage schedules, and to notify the Sharon Township Board of Trustees prior to the bid date of any omitted schedules.
