Renovation of a detention facility in Abilene, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Taylor County is seeking qualifications from architecture firms for the Adult Detention Facility Roof Replacement. The scope of work includes complete replacement of the existing roofing system and may include repair/replacement of the roof deck and adjacent materials as required for a complete watertight system with a minimum 30-year warranty. Include a structural engineer consultant as part of the design team. The County is seeking expertise to determine what procedures, techniques, and materials are going to provide the best result for a high-quality roofing system. Services shall include preparation of full construction documents including specifications for bidding, assistance during bidding and negotiation, and construction administration services. This project is being paid for by Federal money so it will need to be bid and awarded to GC before the end of 2024.
