The Wheeling Park District will receive bids for the Chamber Park Site Renovations project located at 213 NorthWolf Road in Wheeling, Illinois. The scope of work includes the following: site demolition,new asphalt parking lot and pathways, new concrete curbsand sidewalks, site utilities, site restoration, and all otherwork as necessary to complete the project as described inthe Bid Document. All items to be completed by the Ownerwill be noted in the Bid Documents. ' The Wheeling Park District ("Owner") expects to enterinto an agreement with the successful bidder on or aboutAugust 14, 2024, with work to begin on or about August 26,2024, with all work to be completed by October 18, 2024. There will not be a Pre-Bid meeting for this project. Theproject site is accessible every day from dawn to dusk. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check for not lessthan ten (10) percent of the total base bid amount will be required for each bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish satisfactory performance and labor & material payment bond(s)for the total contract amount. The successful bidder willalso be required to enter into a legal contract with theOwner. This project is subject to payment of the prevailing wagerates. All bidders will be required to certify that they are incompliance with laws governing bid-rigging, bid rotation,equal opportunity employment, and sexual harassment. No bids may be withdrawn without written consent fromthe Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any andall bids, and to waive any formalities in the bidding processif, in its sole judgment, it shall deem it is in the best interestof the public or the Park District to do so.
