General Scope of Work: The Work generally consists of a new +/- 3,200 sq. ft., Pre-engineered steel building to house equipment for the hangar fire protection systems at the airport. The project includes engine driven pumps for the fire protection system for the hangars, fuel tanks, two 500,000 gallon water storage tanks, associated equipment, a restroom, associated earthwork, foundations for building and tanks, concrete paving and the addition of new gates in the AOA fence. The scope also includes an overhead crane (4-ton), overhead coiling door and all mechanical and electrical items. 1. The Work includes all necessary labor and materials to construct the complete project as indicated In the Construction Documents. Project Location: 4201 Chennault Parkway- Chennault International Airport, Lake Charles, Louisiana Each bidder must provide proof of capacity to provide a payment and performance bond in accordance with the specifications. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must be furnished with the bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. Bidders are advised that Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, will be required. This project will partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with the program. On any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, the Contractor shall certify that he is licensed under Louisiana Revised Statute 37:2150-2164 and show his license number on the bid and on the envelope. The licensee shall not be permitted to bid or perform any type or types of work not included in the classification under which his license was issued.
