The Project includes the following Work: The Work includes removing the floating steel cover from Primary Digester No. 4, removing the existing protective coating on the underside of the steel cover, and on the exterior of the side sheets, and preparing the surface for new coating, removing, and replacing corroded ballast supports per original manufacturer's requirements, and as directed by the Owner and Engineer, re-coating the floating steel cover, and re-installing the floating steel cover onto the digester tank. The Work also includes cleaning, surface preparation and re-coating the platform walkway and bridge, scum skimmer mechanism, beach, and piping, clarifier center column, energy dissipating inlet tube, inlet box, center cage support and torque tube, and sludge scraper mechanism and support truss for Primary Clarifiers 2 and 3. The Work also includes re-balancing the sludge scraper mechanism against the concrete clarifier floor, and replacing failed pressure relief valve(s) on clarifier floor. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Primary Digester 4, Primary Clarifier 2 and Primary Clarifier 3 Rehabilitation Bids Must Be Accompanied by Bid Security in the Form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Cash in the Amount Of Five Percent (5%) of the Amount of the Bid Proposal. Said Bid Security Shall Be Forfeited to the City of Nampa as Liquidated Damages Should the Successful Bidder Fail to Enter Into Contract in Accordance With Their Proposal as Specified in The Instructions to Bidders. The Project has an expected duration of 270 calendar days.
