Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Johnstown, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Work shall include, but is not limited to, the rehabilitation or replacement of approximately 60,000 square feet of pavement, the replacement of 4 catch basins, and the replacement of approximately 550 linear feet of storm drain pipe. Work also includes all demolition, removals, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work including all restoration. The Project has developed the following schedule for Substantial and Final Completion. Substantially Completed on or before October 15, 2024, and final completion on or before November 1, 2024. SUNY Fulton-Montgomery will award a single Prime Contract. Bids will be received on an itemized unit price basis. There will be no Pre-bid Conference. The labor on this contract shall be performed in all respects in full accordance with the Labor Law of the State of New York. Contractors must conform to the New York State prevailing wage rate schedules which are annexed to and form a part of the specifications for this project. Bids should not include sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. In accordance with Section 103-d of the General Municipal Law, at the time Contractor submits its bid, an authorized and responsible person shall execute and deliver a non-collusive bidding certification on Contractor's behalf. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Complete sets of Bidding and Contract Documents in electronic format may be obtained at no charge from the Engineer, C.T. MALE ASSOCIATES, Engineering, Surveying, Architecture, Landscape Architecture & Geology, D.P.C., via Camelot Print and Copy Center. Only those Contract Documents obtained in this manner will enable a prospective bidder to be identified as an official plan holder or record. Contract Documents obtained from other sources may not be accurate or may not contain addenda that may have been issued. Cost for sets of printed documents, including costs for delivery or mailing, shall be the responsibility of the Bidder SUNY Fulton-Montgomery reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject any or all Bids without explanation. Question Deadline 07/14/2024. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing to Engineer. Attention: Chad Kortz, P.E.. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
