construction of two concrete box culverts, roadway grading, and other related incidental work. The project sites are located as follows: C-89(642) - on County Road 21 between County Road 4 and County Road 6 and C-89(644) - on County Road 28 between County Road P17 and County Road P19, both in Washington County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as "Washington County 2024 CBC's: C-89(642) & C-89(644)" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of: C-89(642) - single 12' x 12' x 79 Concrete Box Culvert on a 15skew (lhb) with sloped paved inlet apron and outlet apron; C-89(644) - triple 12' x 8' x 48' Concrete Box Culvert on a 45skew (rhb), and other related incidental work. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Washington County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to include an estimated time of delivery for the materials with their Bid Proposal. The required completion date is November 30, 2024. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed sixty (60) calendar days for completion of each site after beginning work at the site, provided they do not exceed their specified completion date. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. No project can be started without the intent to complete that site without delay from the other sites, therefore, the Contractor will not be allowed to start the removals at a site unless they have committed a crew to complete the work at that site. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to acceptance by the Washington County Board of Supervisors. The Washington County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act's competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb.Rev.Stat. 23- 3110 to 23-3114.
