Renovation of a municipal facility in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Miami-Dade County is soliciting interested contractors to register to participate and perform in Miscellaneous Construction Contract (MCC) Bids under the MCC 7040 & 7360 Plan projects. Contractual Opportunities are continuously available for all businesses located in Miami-Dade who are interested in doing business with the County. The types of contracts available under the MCC Program are construction projects, facility repairs, neighborhood improvements, emergency repairs and maintenance work with a maximum value of $5.0M; ORD 09-101. All capital departments are participating. Additional opportunities are available through Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which enables low-income families to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Funds are used to improve the energy performance of dwellings by families in need, using the most advanced technologies and testing procedures available in the housing industry. Measures to make homes more energy efficient include: replacement or installation of key components, installation of energy recovery ventilation systems including bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans and installation of whole mechanical exhaust systems to provide better indoor air quality, install attic insulation, install window solar films, repair or replace inefficient cooling units, repair or replace water heaters and address air infiltration with weather stripping, caulking thresholds, minor wall repairs, ceiling and floors, windows and doors. REG Roof and Building Envelope Windows and Storefront Replacement ESTIMATED COST: $4,221,331.27 LICENSE REQUIREMENT: General Building Contractor, Building Contractor SCOPE OF WORK: Scope of work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all supervision, labor, materials, services, overhead & profit, permits, equipment, tools, etc. and testing. Prospective bidder shall examine carefully the site conditions of the work and be satisfied as to all observable conditions. The scope of work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, permits, and all other items necessary for the successful completion of the project in accordance with the plans and specifications included with the bid documents. The scope of work includes, but shall not be limited to, the following: Roof Replacement and building envelope consisting of replacement of windows to new Impact Resistant System, and Storefronts. Please refer to BEA Architects complete permit set 10/27/2023 and specification dated 5/2023. The Contractor assumes all the responsibility for site verification of equipment for replacement, controls and other items required to successfully complete and meet the necessary building and safety codes. The Contractor shall become familiar with details of work in the field and shall advise OWNER of any discrepancy prior to performing any tasks, including but not limited to existing and proposed quantities, building and area locations, etc. The Contractor shall thoroughly investigate and satisfy itself of the conditions affecting the work prior to construction start. Abbreviated Scope of Work: 1. Removal and Replacement of existing roof system and insulation. 2. Removal and Replacement of existing window and exhaust fans. 3. Removal and Replacement of existing ladders. 4. Removal and Replacement of existing storefront glazing system. 5. Removal and Replacement of damaged lighting system. 6. Removal of existing security metal shutter / accordion door at front and back entrances. 7. New addition of metal staircase of multiple level roofs. 8. New addition of safety rail / barrier around the roof area where there are no parapets. 9. New addition of roof anchors. 10. Repair of damaged areas on the parapet of the east facade and update / upgrade of lighting protection. 11. Removal and replacement of all scuppers E. Basis of design for new Roofing System is JM T.P.O 60 Roof System NOA#18-0501.04 or similar approved. F. Pre-installation & safety meeting: All workers using suspended scaffold need training. Adhere to OSHA Safety regulations. Assure support devices rest on surfaces capable of supporting them (parapet wall). REG is an essential courthouse building and shall maintain upmost security parameters and clearance during operations. Approved plans process number with City of Miami {Building Dept. / Process #BD23010348001 Bid price is to include the removal and proper disposal of all work-related debris. Bid price is also to include all related permit fees and permitting expenses related therewith. Bidder must submit a completed, notarized Confidentiality Affidavit - form provided in the Bid Documents (kristina.hagberg@miamidade.gov, copy clerkbcc@miamidade.gov) - in order to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit. Bidders who have not submitted a Confidentiality Affidavit will be requested to leave the Meeting and Site Visit.
