As of 7/19/24 no bids received. A timeline for the rebid has not yet been established. Contract Documents and Plans for the proposed Work, which have been prepared by Robert F. Yuro., P.E., C.M.E., of the firm of T&M Associates, will be made available electronically or at the office of said Engineer at 11 Tindall Road, Middletown, NJ, 07748. Bidders interested in obtaining hard copies of the documents in person from the office must make an appointment with Patti Sirico. The provided Bid Packet must be completed in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the Project on the outside and must be addressed to Thomas P. Cusick, Keansburg Borough Clerk. Also, Bid Packets must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "Borough of Keansburg" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price amount, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful Bidder is hereby notified that a Performance and Payment Bond for the full amount of this Project is required. The Borough of Keansburg intends to award this Project to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder whose Bid Packet complies with its requirements for the Project, provided that, in the judgment of the Borough of Keansburg, it's reasonable, within available funds and in the interest of the Borough of Keansburg. The Borough Council reserves its rights to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality and to accept the bid that, in its judgment, will best serve the interests of the Borough. The Borough reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing proposal forms of specifications, or before awarding the Contract. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Borough. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the specifications. The Borough of Keansburg reserves the right to reject any and all Bid Packets to the extent permitted by law. An award will be made, or Bid Packets will be rejected within sixty (60) Calendar Days after the opening of the Bid Packets, during which time the Bid Packets shall be irrevocable and unavailable to withdraw by Bidders, unless otherwise extended in the Contract Documents. Bidders are required to comply with the current requirements of N.J.A.C. 17:27, N.J.A.C. 7:26H-6 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 5:34-1. No oral interpretation and/or clarification of the meaning of the Contract Documents will be made to any Bidder. Any interpretation or clarification requested by a Bidder shall be in writing, addressed to the Engineer. In order to be given consideration, a written request must be received by the Engineer according to the procedures outlined in the Special Provisions. 2.5.2 All interpretations, clarifications and any supplemental instructions issued by the Engineer will be in the form of written Addenda to the Plans or Specifications, and will be distributed to all prospective Bidders. All Addenda so issued shall become part of the Specifications and Contract Documents, and shall be acknowledged by the Bidder in the Bid Packet.
