Renovation of a civil project in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Seeking proposals from qualified consultants to design emergency backup generators for two Duxbury Water Department facilities: Mayflower Well #2 and Tremont Wells Treatment Plant. Contracts for such engineering design services are exempt from bidding pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30B, 1(b)(32A) and so this Request for Proposals (RFP) process shall not be subject to the requirements of M.G.L. c. 30B. Project Mgmt., Facility Assessment, Power Needs Assessment, Regulatory Review & Permitting, Conceptual Plans, Equipment & Backup Power Generator Specs, Plans Specs for Backup Power Generation & Installation, Cost Estimates, & Construction Bidding Phase. The Duxbury Water Department supplies approximately 16,445 people with drinking water in two separate pressure zones through approximately 130 miles of water mains and 5,682 service connections. The 12 groundwater wells and two storage tanks are managed using an integrated supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. The Duxbury Water Department is permitted through the MassDEP Water Management Act to withdraw a maximum of 1.51 million gallons per day (mgd) from the South Coastal Basin. Average daily withdrawal in 2023 was 1.49 mgd. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
