Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Windsor, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Question Deadline 04/24/2025 The work consists of a new parking lot, access drive, utility services, improvement to the existing corporate yard storage area, and other ancillary work necessary to complete the work. Pursuant to Section 1720 et seq. and 1770 et seq., of the Labor Code of the State of California, the successful bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Directors of the California Department of Industrial Relations. Copies of such prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file in the principal office of the Town of Windsor, to which reference is hereby made for further particulars. Said prevailing rate of per diem wages shall be made available to any interested party on request. The successful bidder shall post a copy of such determinations at each job site. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to the Town of Windsor or a satisfactory bidder’s bond in favor of the Town of Windsor executed by the bidder as principal, and a satisfactory surety company, licensed as such in the State of California, as surety, in an amount not less than 10% of the maximum amount of the bid. The check or bidder’s bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder shall execute the contract, if awarded to him, in conformity with the contract documents and shall provide the statutry faithful performance bond, and labor and materials (payment) bond for 100% of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of said contract, said bonds to be provided within ten (10) days, not including Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after notification of the award of the contract to the bidder. The Contractor shall possess a State of California Class “A” contractor’s license at the time bids are received by the Town and throughout the execution of the contract. The Windsor Town Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which proposal is the lowest bid of a responsible bidder. The Windsor Town Council also reserves the right to waive any nonconformity not material to the cost of performance in the said proposals or bids.
