Local Eastern Time Contract Duration: Thirty (30) days from the date of Notice to Proceed The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE or the Department) is issuing this Request for Quotes (RFQ) to procure the services defined herein from a contract between the successful bidder(s) and the MDE. The Department is requesting Bids from qualified contractors to provide excavation and earthwork, retaining wall construction, sub-drain installation, and revegetation at the Rankin Mine Drainage Control Project, see the Technical Specifications ATTACHMENT C and the Project Drawings ATTACHMENT D for a detailed description of work This work will consist of excavation and off-site disposal of the existing retaining wall, installing a 2x2x4 concrete block wall with a footer, and installing a 4 diameter subdrain. The contractor will be required to supply all labor, equipment, supplies, fuel, and all items necessary to complete the work. It is the States intention to obtain goods and services, as specified in this RFQ, from a Contract between the selected Bidder and the State. A Bidder, either directly or through its subcontractor(s), must be able to provide all goods and services and meet all of the requirements requested in this solicitation and the successful Bidder (the Contractor) shall remain responsible for Contract performance regardless of subcontractor participation in the work.
