Brazoria County is requesting pricing for a public nuisance abatement located at 8116 CR 929, Brazoria, Texas. SCOPE OF WORK Brazoria County is requesting pricing for a public nuisance abatement located at 8116 CR 929, Brazoria, Texas. as indicated on the bid table spreadsheet in accordance with Texas Local Government Code 262.022, (5-a) which states, Lowest and best means a bid or offer providing the best value considering associated direct and indirect costs, including transport, maintenance, reliability, life cycle, warranties, and customer service after a sale. Brazoria County may award based on best value to the County. This location consists of lot 29 in the Blacks Ferry Oaks subdivision and is partially overgrown and contains one mobile home with porch falling off the structure on the frontside, one recreational vehicle with porch falling off the backside, one storage building with lean-to, small storage shed, treehouse, and various other discarded items and materials. The mobile home, storage building with lean-to, recreational vehicle, small storage shed and treehouse are in very poor condition, partially falling down, full of various items and should be demolished. Debris must be removed and disposed at a proper facility. Contractors should note that structures may contain mold and asbestos. All required environmental surveys (if any) and / or required abatements will be the responsibility of the contractor. Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with surveys and / or abatements as may be required. The septic system tank(s) must be pumped and the effluent disposed of by a licensed septic hauler. Disposal documentation must be provided to the County. The septic tank(s) shall then be crushed and filled. It is unknown if a water well is at this location, but if found, the water well should remain and precaution taken to not damage the well head or tank. All trash, debris, appliances and any other discarded items must be removed and disposed at a proper facility. Contractor may only remove any trees if necessary for the removal / demolition of specified structures contained herein. Grass, weeds and vegetation shall be mowed to height of four (4) inches across entire property. The property measures approximately 125 ft. by 150 ft. as noted in the attached Plat 1971013339 filed 8/24/71. All removal / demolition of specified structures and items shall be in accordance with State law. Contractor is to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and supervision to abate the structures by demolition and removal. All debris and material (inside and out of structures) is to be removed and a complete site clean-up is required. Contractor shall arrange utility disconnections if required. Work is to begin as soon as possible after the award of the contract. Bid shall include all costs associated for the removal / demolition of specified abatement public nuisance property. Contractor shall be held responsible for all applicable costs in the event contractor fails to comply with any and all requirements herein. Work performed or any part thereof shall not be deemed as finished until accepted by the Countys representative (Project Manager) and any other authorized inspectors of the County where the property is located.
