This Project was designed under Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Project Number 2980 08 00. The assigned Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal is discretionary. Bidder shall be prepared to perform at least 30 percent of the original contract amount with Bidder's own organization. Bidder's own organization is defined as workers that Bidder employs and pays directly as well as equipment Bidder owns or rents, either with or without operators. Bidder shall comply with all state and federal statutes relating to non discrimination in employment. Bidder shall further agree to ensure equal opportunity employment to all applicants and employees and to take affirmative action to attain representative workforce. The Project includes the following Work: The construction of approximately 0.58 miles of asphalt shared use path, a pedestrian bridge over the Root River, curb ramp construction, permanent marking and signing, storm sewer, and restoration. Pre-Qualification: Yes Bidder is required to visit the Site and conduct a thorough visual examination of the Site and adjacent areas. During the visit the Bidder must not disturb any ongoing operations at the Site. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Issuing Office as having received the Bidding Documents.
