Claremont School District (the District) seeks proposals for the replacement of existing roofing systems at the following locations: Steven's High School (Gym roof), 175 Broad Street, Claremont NH. Disnard School (upper classroom roof) 160 Hanover Street, Claremont, NH. The District reserves the right to request additional information or clarification of any submitted proposals. Proposals and proposal pricing must remain open for thirty (30) days. This solicitation will become an addendum to any resultant contract. Proposals may be withdrawn or modified by the submitting firm at any time prior to the closing date and time for receipt of proposals. Proposals will be reviewed in accordance with the scope of services required as stated within this RFP. This RFP supersedes all other proposals, oral and written, and all negotiations, conversations or discussions between the parties related to the subject matter. The contractor shall, on their own time, schedule a site walk-through with facilities prior to submitting a bid. It is the contractor's responsibility to review the existing conditions for a complete, warrantable project that meets the criteria outlined in this RFP. Scope of Services Requested All listed roofs above are to be replaced and must meet the criteria below: All roofs to be replaced using Johns Manville roofing system products. Remove all existing roofing down to roof deck. Inspect roof decks prior to roofing. Repairs to be made at unit prices listed in this RFP. Remove all flashings, edge metal, pitch pockets, etc... Inspect wood blocking. Repairs to be made at unit prices listed in this RFP.Install KD wood blocking at roof edge locations to match or exceed new insulation thickness. Install UL Class A approved thermal barrier to wood deck roofs. Install 1/4" per foot tapered ISO with min. R=30. Using low rise foam adhesive, install cover board over ISO package. Install full adhere 0.090 EPDM membrane on new cover board. Flash all roof penetrations, curbs, sleepers, etc... and abutting walls to the field sheet. Install new expansion joint where existing. Refurbish drain rings, bolts, and strainers at all existing roof drains. Install 24-gauge steel edge metal at parapet and roof edge locations. Metal to be included in warranty coverage. Dispose of all roofing related debris in accordance with all applicable regulations. Provide 30-year manufacturer's warranty with a maximum wind speed warranty of 72 mph. Contractor will be required to coordinate services with District contracted plumber and mechanical contractor to facilitate drain installations and mechanical unit connects/disconnects. At concrete deck, apply adhered vapor barrier over concrete deck and use low rise foam to attach insulation and cover board. The Claremont School district reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to make a vendor selection it deems to be in the best interests of the School district. The District reserves the right to award each school location roofing project separately.
