**As of September 17, 2024, selection has not been made yet. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Letters of Interest for construction of infrastructure improvements of the existing storm drainage system at the New Orleans Yard and paved 620 LF access road, parking area and material storage area for the locomotive shop. The storm drainage infrastructure involves reconstruction of a storm water detention ditch adjacent to the Trident Building with a concrete lined structure designed to accommodate on-site stormwater storage compliant with local requirements. Amtrak, at its sole discretion and without discussion, will determine which Contractors are to be added to its short list for the forthcoming Request for Proposal. Project Location: 3319 Earhart Boulevard, New Orleans LA 70125. In an effort to provide "maximum practicable opportunity" to participate in the provision of goods and services to Amtrak, prime firms under agreement with Amtrak are required to put forth Good Faith Efforts to contract with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). Therefore a DBE subcontracting plan goal shall be established for this opportunity.
