Remove and dispose of two existing HVAC / Heat Pump and Air Handlers units. B. Install two new HVAC / Heat Pump and Air Handlers units. General Scope: A. Furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to remove existing HVAC Units and install new HVAC units and related items indicated on the drawings and/or specified herein. B. Contractors will provide all labor and materials meeting state laws and regulations. C. The contractor will be responsible for removal and disposal of the existing air-conditioners. D. The contractor will be responsible to have all units running efficiently at final walk-through. E. They will repair any damage done to State property during the project. Acceptable Manufacturers: A. Acceptable manufacturers are Trane, Carrier, Payne, ICP, Lennox, York, Heil, Rheem, Rudd, Goodman, Byrant, Daikin, and Mitsubishi. Installation: A. All replacement units must be set up to use R410-A refrigerant. B. The efficiency standards for heat pump systems will be 14.3 SEER2 which is equivalent to 15.0 SEER and 7.5 HSPF2, or 8.8 HSPF. C. When installing copper refrigerant tubing, a dry nitrogen purge must be used to prevent oxidation inside the pipe. D. When installation of the unit is complete, a vacuum must be pulled on the refrigerant system to remove moisture and contaminants, and the system must be leak tested. E.
