Lead Hazard Reduction & Healthy Homes Intervention. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 7/17/2024 2:00 PM. Project Scope- The Waterbury Healthy Homes Program (WHHP) is undertaking a lead-based paint abatement project located at 91 Rose Street in Waterbury, Connecticut. The Site building consists of a single-family residential building. Although no children under six (6) years old permanently resided in the dwelling, at the time ofinspection, the dwelling functioned as a childcare facility. Toxic levels of lead-based paint were identified throughout the dwelling. At the request of the WHHP permanent lead-based paint abatement will be utilized under Connecticut Department of Public Health (CT DPH) guidance. The interior of the dwelling along with the exterior areas have been comprehensively tested for lead-based paint. Toxic levels of lead-based paint were identified on various components and surfaces throughout. One (1) child under the age of six (6) years old occupied the dwelling at the time of inspection. At the request of WHHP, the entire Site building was designed as full abatement. All work specified in the Scope of Work must be performed by a CT DPH licensed Lead Abatement Contractor. There are no known lead-based paint abatement orders or notice of violations on the inspected Site building. his Specification incorporates the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Policy Guidance Number 2017-01 concerning New Lead Clearance Action Levels.
