The award of the Contract, if made by Access, will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Each Bidder shall possess at the time that this Contract is awarded, a Class A or B or D-8/D-28 or C-10 or C-7 Contractor's License, current and legally issued by the State of California Contractor's State License Board, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 3300. The successful Bidder must maintain the license in good standing throughout the duration of this Contract This is a prevailing wage job. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors shall pay all workers on the Project not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code Access Services is seeking a qualified Contractor to furnish, deliver, install or repair the following at Access' Eligibility Center located at 5747 Rickenbacker Rd., Commerce, CA One (1) long steel wheelchair stopper anchored to the wall and floor Three (3) powered pedestrian door openers (two restroom doors and one PFA door) Two (2) kick plates for each door and protection plates Paint and repair two (2) walls (one wall is currently orange and the other is white) and two (2) doors Install/repair flooring (flooring to be supplied by Access- see bullet F below) Repair and paint any walls utilized for the installation, including any affected adjacent areas.
