Site work for a water / sewer project in Dacula, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes replacing a section of the storm system located within a drainage easement at 3125 Superior Drive. The project scope includes: replace existing damaged 36 CMP pipe with a 36 AST-2 pipe (73 L.F. +/-), install doghouse storm manhole to allow work to be contained on one property, and stabilize disturbed areas with sod and/or permanent vegetation. All questions concerning this project shall be submitted in writing by email to Bowman (Owner's Representative - Kevin D. Whigham, P.E.) 4174 Silver Peak Parkway, Suwanee, Georgia 30024, phone number 770-932-6550; email kwhigham@bowman.com no later than August 8, 2024, by 4:00 PM. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the base bid shall accompany the bid. The Attorney-in-Fact who signs the bid bond must file with the bid bond a certified copy of his Power of Attorney to sign such bond. Time is of the essence. Construction of the "Wilson Street Temporary Gravel Parking Lot" Project must be substantially complete within Forty-Five (45) consecutive days from date of Notice to Proceed. Notice to Proceed will be issued during the Pre-Construction meeting. All required paperwork such as Performance and Payment bonds for 100% of the Contract amount which will be submitted to the City along with a Schedule of Values (Unit Prices), Certificate of Insurance, Contractor's Security and Immigration Affidavit, a list of Subcontractors to be used on the project and Subcontractor's Security and Immigration Affidavits shall be provided to the City at City Hall located on Harbins Road, in Dacula, Georgia before construction begins. The Work to be completed for this project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, earthwork, construction operations, details, supervision and coordination of all trades, utility suppliers, governmental inspections, and approvals to complete the construction, installation, and coordination for "3125 Superior Drive Storm Drainage Improvements" Project for the City of Dacula as follows The scope of the project for "3125 Superior Drive Storm Drainage Improvements" will include replacing an existing 36" CMP storm drainage pipe that is damaged and causing a sink hole issue in the rear yard of the residence. The existing storm pipe will be demolished and removed from JB A-2 to the east approximately 10 feet inside the wood fenced rear yard limits (east corner of the property) where a new "Doghouse" JB A-3 will be installed. The new doghouse storm manhole (A-3) will allow all work to be completed within the rear yard of the private residence. The site is located at 3125 Superior Drive, Dacula, Georgia. This is privately owned residential lot with house, fenced rear yard, and storm drainage system which runs along the rear northeast property line. Access will require coordination with property owner during construction from the east side of residence through existing wood fence and gates. Wood fence and gates shall be protected from damage at all times. Any damage to wood fence and gates shall be replaced in kind with new materials at Contractor's expense and no additional cost to the Owner. The Contract Documents, consisting of Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Bid Proposal Form, Form of Agreement, Drawings, Specifications, Bid forms, Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and any technicalities, and to reject any or all bids.
