This project consists of removing and replacing approximately 300 square yards of cement concrete sidewalk (a combination of 4-inches and 5 1/2 -inches in thickness); constructing approximately 142 square yards of new 4-inch thick sidewalk and 44 square yards of new 5 1/2 -inch thick sidewalk - including two curb ramps; removing and replacing as much as 185 linear feet of cement concrete curb and gutter; grinding approximately 647 linear feet of raised panel edges; constructing approximately 70 square feet of new modular block retaining wall with 36 linear feet of 4-foot high black vinyl-coated chain link fence; installing a rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB) pedestrian crossing system at Fairmont Drive; and other miscellaneous related work associated with sidewalk construction - maintenance - and repair in Pullman - Washington A certified check - bid bond - or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany the proposal. Work under this contract may begin at any time following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. It is anticipated that the City will issue the Notice of Award by mid-August. Notice to Proceed will be issued as soon as possible following return of necessary contract paperwork by the Contractor. Physical completion shall be achieved by November 27 , 2024. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids - to waive technicalities or irregularities - and after careful consideration of all bids and factors involved - make the award to best serve the interests of the City of Pullman.
