Site work for a multi-residential development in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Completed plans call for site work for a multi-residential development.

The Contractor shall supply all materials, labour and equipment required to complete the scope of work outlined in this section for the Grading & Concrete Pad Housing project located at 28 Hunt Avenue, Charlottetown, PE The Contractor shall: a. Obtain and verify accuracy of all measurements required for material ordering. Materials 3. Remove and dispose of existing concrete pad, concrete stairs, and metal railing. Excavate concrete and pad area to required base for new concrete pad and stairs. Elevation to be confirmed with Government prior to proceeding. Provide 6" of compacted gravel on sub-base and 2" rigid insulation under concrete pad and stairs. Gravel and insulation to extend 18" beyond edge of concrete where possible. Form, pour, and finish concrete slab 5" thick c/w 10M rebar spaced at 12" c/c in both directions, and expansion board against existing foundation. Slope for proper drainage and accessibility. Form, pour, and finish concrete stairs c/w 10M rebar mat 12" c/c. Finish concrete with broom finish and expansion cuts as required. Supply and install new galvanized steel hand rail. All work to be in accordance with National Building Code of Canada 2020 Edition. Provide temporary barricades and site protection as required to ensure public safety during construction. The Contractor shall use the following materials: a. Concrete to be minimum Class C-2 and 20MPa or as recommended by concrete supplier. b. Rebar size to be 10M. Rigid insulation to be Extruded Polystyrene Rigid Insulation Owens Corning Codeboard or equivalent. Metal handrails to be galvanized steel. General 4. 5. The Contractor shall: a. b. c. d. e. f. g. h. i. j. Provide all protection of the works, property, and persons against accident or injury until the work is formally accepted including the erection temporary barricades, fencing, or warning signals around the work site for the safe passage of persons to and from the buildings. Give 48 hours notice to Government before starting any work. Maintain suitable means to save the building and its contents from weather injury, dust, and defacement during the progress of the work, including the removal of rubbish and debris from the site daily. Repair of any damage to the building, units, tenant property, or grounds resulting from the work of this Agreement. Ensure, when job is completed, that a thorough site cleaning is done. Ensure building is secured at the end of each workday. Provide temporary power, washroom facilities, water, etc. as required. Not use recreation room as a break room or lunchroom. Ensure all work is carried out to the latest Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations of PEI. Repair all damages caused by heavy equipment, machines, etc. Work should be completed by September 1, 2024.
