This project aims to replace four deteriorating bridges along Dell Avenue over the Venice canals. In the Bureau of Engineering's recent assessment of bridges throughout the City, three of the Dell Avenue bridges received "F" ratings, meaning the bridges are structurally inadequate, do not meet safety, technological, regulatory, and public access requirements, and/or place an undue burden on the budget for operations, maintenance, and/or spatial inefficiencies. Only one of the other 500+ bridges throughout the City received an "F" rating. The fourth Dell Ave bridge received a "D" rating. Cost estimates provided herein are based on a preliminary analysis of recent bridge replacement projects. The project is included in the City of Los Angeles FY 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 30, 2026, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available.
