Renovation of a municipal facility in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

A. Remove paving and curbs as required to accomplish new work. B. Within area of new construction, remove foundation walls and footings to a minimum of 5 feet below finished grade. C. Remove paving slabs on grade within site boundaries. D. Remove other items indicated, for salvage, relocation, and recycling. E. Fill excavations, open pits, and holes in ground areas generated as result of removals, using specified fill; compact fill per section 31 2300. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers. INQUIRIES/ADDENDA A. Direct questions to architect. B. Addenda may be issued during the bidding period. All Addenda become part of Contract Documents. Include resultant costs in the Bid Amount. C. Verbal answers are not binding on any party. D. Clarifications requested by bidders must be in writing not less than 5 days before date set for receipt of bids. The reply will be in the form of an Addendum, a copy of which will be forwarded to known recipients Question Deadline 07/26/2024 ***Document Note: Bid Documents are available online at City Blue online planroom. D. Upon receipt of Bid Documents verify that documents are complete. Notify Architect should the documents be incomplete. E. Immediately notify Architect upon finding discrepancies or omissions in the Bid Documents.
