Renovation of a residential development in Middleburg, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,262-square-foot residential development.

Clay County is requesting quotes from qualified Contractors to provide residential roof replacement at the following location: Question Deadline 07/24/2024 at 4:30 PM ET Question Response Deadline: July 26, 2024, 4:30pm 2651 Sapp Lane Middleburg, FL 32068 If any additional services are requested from the homeowner, the Contractor will be required to notify the County Project Manager or designee. No additional services shall be performed until the contractor receives written authorization from Clay County. The residence has 1,262 square feet under the roof. Sitework 1. During construction the Contractor shall remove debris as it is generated. Avoid accumulating debris. On completion, all excess building material shall be removed from the site. Contractor shall rake the site clean of construction debris. B. Roofing Type 1. Install a quality synthetic underlayment over the existing shingles/main roof decking. Install according to manufacturer and Florida Building Code specifications. 2. The homeowner shall select the color. 3. Install a new galvalume roof system complete with all trim. Install according to manufacturer and Florida Building Code specifications. 4. Install 6" aluminum drip edge over 1x2 strips around the entire perimeter of the house. 5. Replace vents and valley flashings with new. 6. Use plumbing boots and covers with hardware cloth cages to protect from chewing damage. 7. Prime and paint new soffit and/or fascia to blend with existing colors. The Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) generally apply to contractors and subcontractors performing on federal and federally assisted contracts in excess of $2,000 for construction, alteration, or repair (including painting and decorating). Laborers and mechanics performing on the site of the work of DBRA-covered contracts are entitled to receive prevailing wage rates for such work. Substantial Completion shall be obtained within forty-five (45) days from Notice to Proceed. Final Completion shall be obtained within sixty (60) days from Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall be assessed Liquidated Damages (LD) of $100.00 for each day past final completion date set by the Contract. If the Contractor fails to maintain acceptable product quality or to perform adequately in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications established in this Request for Bids, the County reserves the right to cancel the contract upon thirty (30) days written notice to the Contractor.
