Downtown Fiber Redesign Fiber Optic Cable Installation. Questions due from Bidders Submit to RFP@oppd.com 7/15/2024 10:00 a.m SUMMARY: A. Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) is in the process of vacating Energy Plaza and must re-route existing fiber Sevices. The fiber will be used for telecommunications Services. B. OPPD is soliciting Proposals for a one hundred forty-four (144) count single mode (SM) fiber optic cable design, Procurement, and installation for the fiber spans. The fiber installation will be a joint effort between the awarded Contractor and the OPPD Telecommunications Department, details of each entities responsibility for this project will be provided. It is the intent of this RFP to solicit one (1) General Contractor capable of performing and managing all necessary Work within. C. The Proposals shall include, but not be limited to the following: 1. Route Selection, Design and Preliminary Engineering 2. Project Cost Analysis 3. Final Engineering and Permitting 4. Material Procurement 5. Construction and Installation 6. Construction Inspection, Quality Control, and Reporting 7. Excavation and Restoration 8. Roadway, Traffic, and/or Pedestrian Management 9. Fiber Splicing and Testing 10. Documentation 11. Permit Closures
