Materials and Supplies: The bid must include all materials and labor needed to perform the work including but not limited to equipment, supplies, traffic control devices, utility locating services, and mobilization expenses. Balch Springs is a city in Dallas County, Texas, United States. It is a suburb of Dallas and part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The population was 27,000 at the 2020 census. Balch Springs is located at 32433 N 9636'55" W. The city is bordered by Mesquite to the north and east, and Dallas to the south and west. The City of Balch Springs, Texas is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the replacement of a sewer line as part of the wastewater collection system upgrade through our 2024 Capital Improvements Program. The replacement of the sewer lines will be performed on nine (9) main lines in various areas of the City of Balch Springs. Bonding and Insurance: The winning bidder shall submit to the City liability insurance in the minimum amount of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00) as well as a performance bond with a minimum amount as specified in the City of Balch Springs ordinance section 66-176, administration and enforcement. Warranty: The winning bidder shall warranty their work for a period of two years from the date of completed construction. Any defects during this period will be replaced or repaired to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works of the City of Balch Springs as stated in City ordinance 66-176(d). This amount of insurance coverage shall be reflected in the estimated professional fee. 10.2 The selected consultant/proposer shall provide within five (5) calendar days after the Notice of Award is issued by the City a certificate of liability insurance naming the City of Balch Springs and its employees and officers as additionally named insured. This shall be maintained in full force and in effect for the duration of the contract and must be in an amount and format satisfactory to the City. 10.3 The selected consultant/proposer will be required to defend, indemnify and save harmless the City of Balch Springs, its employees, officers, and agents, from all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, judgments or liability of any nature whatsoever which may result from the services. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
