Renovation of a transportation facility in Edwardsville, Illinois. Working plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
As of August 30, 2024, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will rebid but no definite date yet. This federally funded project is for the purchase and installation of nine (9) ADA compliant, illuminated bus shelters at various locations in Madison County, Illinois, along with other work necessary to complete the improvements in accordance with the specifications. Eight (8) locations will require the removal and disposal of the old bus shelters prior to installation of the new bus shelters. The ninth location is a new bus shelter location which will require the pouring of a new concrete slab before installation of the new bus shelter. DBE project goal 0.17% of the awarded contract sum for DBE participation.
