The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide pipe replacement services using Method A, Jack and Bore located on Route 24, Stewartsville Road, Bedford County - GPS: 37.253357, -79.708406 per the specifications contained in this solicitation. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From the date of award through December 31, 2024. (Non-renewable) Question Deadline 07/12/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Shonda Fowler at Shonda.fowler@VDOT.virginia.gov. : It is the goal of the Commonwealth that 42% of its purchases be made from small businesses The Contractor shall begin work within ten (10) business days after the award of the contract and provide proof of confirmed delivery date for materials to be acquired for the project, unless otherwise agreed upon by the VDOT Contract Administrator. The Contractor shall provide a continuous operation once they commence the work. The Contractor shall advise the VDOT Contract Administrator at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the work. The Contractor shall not begin work until the location and extent of work has been verified and approved by the Contract Administrator. The Commonwealth also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the procuring public body to be in its best interest. The purchasing agency reserves the right to cancel and terminate any resulting contract, in part or in whole, without penalty, upon 60 days written notice to the contractor. In the event the initial contract period is for more than 12 months, the resulting contract may also be terminated by the contractor, without penalty, after the initial 12 months of the contract period upon 60 days written notice to the other party. Any contract cancellation notice shall not relieve the contractor of the obligation to deliver and/or perform on all outstanding orders issued prior to the effective date of cancellation.
