Terracon Project No. JB235158 PID- 2112.2, 23028 The Board of Education of the Schoharie Central School District School District invites the submission of Separate Sealed Bid Proposals to furnish materials and labor to complete the Reconstruction and Alterations project all in accordance with the plans and specifications for the following category of work: One (1) complete set of hard copy Bidding Documents may be obtained from REVplans, 28 Church Street, Unit 7, Warwick, NY 10990 Tel: 1-877-272-0216, through electronically upon depositing the sum of $100 (one hundred dollars) for each combined set of documents. Checks or money orders shall be made payable to Schoharie Central School District. The deposit will be refunded ONLY to those bidders who submit a bona fide bid proposal in accordance with the terms in the Information for Bidders and who return a complete set of Bidding Documents in COMPLETE, UNMARKED, and NOT TORN condition to REV within thirty (30) days after the award of contract(s) covered by such Bidding Documents, or the rejection of such bid(s) Gym Equipment The work at Schoharie Central School District includes, but is not limited to the following: Reconstruction of existing windows in the high school and elementary school; reconstruction of the existing high school locker rooms into new locker rooms and a weight room; masonry repairs at the high school facade; reconstruction of an existing elementary school gym into a new library; reconstruction of the existing elementary school library into a new kitchen and cafeteria; reconstruction of the existing kitchen, cafeteria and large gym of the elementary school into a new full-size gym and stage/platform; reconstruction of existing restrooms in the elementary school; reconstruction of classroom casework, ceilings, and lights in the elementary school; reconstruction of existing corridor doors, door frames, ceilings and lights in the elementary school; miscellaneous related abatement; and related plumbing, mechanical, electrical and data work. Building may be inspected by bidders at pre-arranged times during normal school hours. To make arrangements for inspection, call: Shawn Gathen, Director of Facilities, 518-857-4382. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, by certified check of the bidder or by a bid bond prepared on a standard approved form, duly executed by the bidder as principal, and having as surety thereon a surety company authorized to do business within the State of New York. Bid security shall be in an amount not less than 10 percent of the base bid and alternates or not less than 10 percent of the sum of base bids and alternates where such base bids may be considered cumulative. Simultaneously with his delivery of the executed contract, the successful bidder must deliver to the Owner three (3) copies of an executed bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid as security for the faithful performance of the contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection therewith, prepared in the standard form of Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Payment Bond, AIA Form A312 and having as surety thereon such surety company or companies are A. M. Best rated at "A/XII or better, appear on the Treasury Department's list of "Approved Sureties", are authorized to transact business in New York State, and are acceptable to and approved by the Owner. This requirement will not apply in the case of contracts for supplies only and involving no labor on the site. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the date of the actual bid opening. The successful bidder, upon his failure or refusal to execute and deliver the contract and bond required within 15 days after he had received notice of the acceptance of his bid, shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with his bid, as specified in Paragraph 5. No interpretations of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other contract documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every question for such interpretations shall be submitted via email to Project Manager: Alex Lorimer, alorimer@mosaciaa.com The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or defects in such bid either before or after the bid opening. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. The deposit will be refunded ONLY to those bidders who submit a bona fide bid proposal in accordance with the terms in the "Information for Bidders" and who return a complete set of Bidding Documents in COMPLETE, UNMARKED, and NOT TORN condition to REV within thirty (30) days after the award of contract(s) covered by such Bidding Documents, or the rejection of such bid(s). Non-bidders, including material suppliers and subcontractors, as well as plan holders who do not submit bid proposals, WILL NOT be eligible for a refund.
