VDOT reserves the right to have an inspection conducted of the condition of the elevator at any time during the period of the contract The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”), is soliciting bids from qualified firms to establish a contract with a Class A licensed Contractor, with an elevator/escalator specialty, to provide full service preventive maintenance (PM) and “on-call” repair services for the following elevator presently owned by the VDOT Bristol District Office, located at 2111 Bonham Road, Bristol, VA 24201, in accordance with the specifications contained herein during the contract period. Work shall consist of providing preventive maintenance (PM) services and on-call repair services to include emergency repair services for the elevator listed above. The Contractor shall perform monthly inspections and PM services on the elevator and its associated machinery. The initial term or period of the contract shall be for a one (1) year period with the effective date to be determined at time of award, with four (4) successive one (1) year renewal options.
