Town of Canton, CT (Owner) invites sealed Bids for Primary Clarifier Rehabilitation, which generally includes removal & replacement of clarifier mechanisms, repair & lining of existing clarifier concrete and appurtenant electrical and Site Work. Substantial Completion: within 180 days. Final Completion Punchlist complete within 210 calendar days. Bidding is per provisions of the Connecticut General Statutes and municipal codes and ordinances. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The Project is described as Primary Clarifier Rehabilitation at the Canton Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) in Canton, CT. B. Two of the existing clarifiers were built in the 1960s and a third clarifier was built in 1992. Clarifiers cannot be taken offline for inspection prior to the Work since a minimum of 2 clarifiers must remain in service at all times. C. The Owner will continue to operate the treatment plant during the construction period and will be responsible for maintaining effluent quality to comply with the NPDES permit.
