Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Jacksonville, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the demolition of a water / sewer project.

The purpose of this solicitation for (insert project title) (this "Solicitation") is to evaluate and select a vendor to demolish the existing pump station and the construction of a new pump station at 7732 Merrill Rd and upgrading the 2530 Mayapple Pump Station as described in this Solicitation (the "Work") and to determine the best method for JEA to procure the Work with regards to pricing, quality, design, and workmanship. The Work locations include, but are not limited to, the parcel for the new Merrill Rd pump station site adjacent to the existing pump station. Work for the new pump station will not affect any surrounding easements. The following rights-of-way will be affected: 1. Multiple lane closures of Merrill Road in the City of Jacksonville, directly across from the new pump station site, will be temporarily closed for the construction of the new gravity sewers, bituminous paving, painting of traffic lines, relocation of electrical, cable and other underground and overhead utilities, landscaping, driveway, and curbs. The sewer replacement and bituminous pavement work across Merrill Road shall take place during the months of June and July either 2024 or 2025. B. Location: The Work location includes the existing Mayapple Rd pump station site. All upgrades and equipment replacements will take place within the existing pump station area. The bid security must be furnished by the Respondent at or before the opening of the Responses. The bid security shall either be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida, or Respondent shall furnish a certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent of the total amount shown on the Response Form. The JEA Bid Bond form can be found at jea.com. Failure to furnish the required bid security will disqualify the Response. If the Respondent is awarded the Work and fails to execute the Contract within ten (10) days of postmarked date on the Contract Documents, JEA shall retain the Bid Bond or check as liquidated damages. The Payment and Performance Bond requirements may be less than the full Contract amount. JEA has the right to waive irregularities or informalities in the Responses to the extent allowable under applicable laws.
