The scope of work for the Base Bid plus Alternate 1 includes approximately 570 linear feet of 15-inch HDPE drain pipe, 22 drainage structures, 730 square yards grassed swale, 1,860 linear feet guard rail, 5,000 square yards of road and associated work. The estimated project cost for the Base Bid plus Alternate 1 is $920,000.00. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in the specifications. All bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. Online prequalification of contractors with the class of work as HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION for the project with an estimated value of $919,050 will be required. Bidders must be on the prequalified list provided to the Engineer by the Online T Highway Division Prequalification Department. All proposals submitted by non-prequalified bidders shall be rejected. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids.
