Excavate a trench 6-inches wider than the proposed improvements (pickleball courts, concrete boarder, concrete sidewalks, concrete pad, ADA parking stall, etc.) footprint to a depth suitable for the installation of the required compacted base material thickness. B. Existing earth/material removed for this project belongs to the OWNER. Material shall be delivered to the Citys Public Works Department facility at 2050 W Canal St S, Belle Glade, FL or to an area designated by the OWNER on Torry Island at 5000 W Canal St N, Belle Glade, FL. C. Remove existing unsuitable material and thoroughly roll/tamp bottom of excavated area. Bottom of trench shall be compacted to 98% maximum dry density. Trench shall be excavated in the dry condition thus contractor shall utilize dewatering operations, as necessary. D. Proper site/silt protection and dewatering operations shall be utilized to protect the surrounding areas to keep the appropriate water quality standards. E. Install baserock material, compacted in 6-inch to 8-inch lifts (maximum) to 98% maximum dry density as per AASHTO T-180 regulations/standards. F. Provide progress as-builts to confirm excavated and installed material thicknesses throughout the operations of the project. G. Provide final as-builts with elevations taken at all key elements of the project.
