Renovation of an educational facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

SPEED TYPE: J9036 The University of Louisville ("University") is a state-supported research university located in Kentucky's largest metropolitan area. It was a municipally supported public institution for many decades prior to joining the university system in 1970. The University has three (3) campuses. The 287-acre Belknap Campus is three (3) miles from downtown Louisville and houses eight (8) of the university's twelve (12) colleges and schools. The Health Sciences Center (HSC) is situated in downtown Louisville's medical complex and houses the university's health-related programs and the University Hospital. The 243-acre Shelby-Hurst Campus located in eastern Jefferson County. Scope of Work: The University of Louisville Procurement Services, on behalf of Physical Plant Department, (PPD) is requesting bids from a qualified contractor to remove and replace the roofs on multiple buildings located on the University of Louisville's Belknap Campus. The following buildings are being considered for roof replacements: o Base Bid: Strickler Hall, Building 008 o Alternate #1: Ernst Hall, Building 033 o Alternate#2: Brigman Hall, Building 002. The University has a goal of 5% participation by MBE/WBE Suppliers for all regular procurements. There is a goal of 25% participation by MBE/WBE Suppliers for all Construction procurements. Bidder shall describe in detail their company's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Bidder shall include a description of their efforts to do business with MBE/WBE Suppliers as they conduct their own business. In addition, please complete and return the forms below with your bid response. Question Deadline 07/23/2024 at 12:00 PM ET All questions received, in writing by the indicated deadline, shall be addressed by the University via addenda, sent to all known recipients of this solicitation, and published on University of Louisville Active Bids and RFPs. University Response/Addendum 07/26/2024 This information shall be transmitted by email to: Evan Riddell evan.riddell@louisville.edu University of Louisville, Procurement Services 2215 S Brook St. Louisville, KY 40292 Bid submissions shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and countersigned by a licensed Kentucky Resident Agent representing the Surety Company in accordance with KRS 45A.185. (Certified check is acceptable). Noncompliance with this requirement shall cause the bid to be rejected. The awarded Supplier shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, per KRS 45A.190, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of this contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor, including payment of all unemployed contributions which become due and payable under the Kentucky Unemployment Insurance Law furnishing materials in connection with the contract. For any delay in completion, the Supplier and their Sureties shall be liable for, and shall pay the University, the aggregate sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) as fixed, agreed, and liquidated damages for each calendar during which the work under this contract remains incomplete after the substantial and final completion date, as the same may be revised by any extension for time granted by the Owner. The University reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor technicalities.
