Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Dudley, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Town wishes to receive proposals for consultant services for the Town Beach Architectural Barrier Removal Project (Design). The objective of this design project is to provide the Town with complete plans and specifications for future removal of access barriers. Specific improvements to be designed are expected to include: 1) ADA compliant walkways to provide an accessible route of travel to and among beach and park amenities; 2) accessible parking spaces accessed from Lakeview Avenue; 3) ramp from ADA compliant walkway to the waterfront; 4) ramps or modified entries for the restroom/changing room building; and 5) accessibility improvements to the restrooms/changing rooms. The selected design consultant or team (civil engineer, landscape architect, and/or architect) will complete a site survey, develop a program for improved access, and design and prepare plans and specifications to remove barriers to access to recreational services at the Town Beach for persons with disabilities. The Town of Dudley, the awarding and contracting authority, reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it is deemed in the best interests of the Town to do so. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
